Concrete Sealing
There are vast number of sealers and finishes available, but the two main ones include Topical sealers and Penetrating sealers. Topical sealers like the name, create a coating on the surface and protect the concrete by creating a barrier.
Penetrating sealers, penetrate the surface of the concrete and help protect it and make it easier to clean. Penetrating sealers are most commonly used outdoors as they provide a high level of protection while maintaining the natural look and feel. The concrete will retain the natural surface and will not become slippery. Penetrating sealers come in water based and solvent based solutions and will need to be selected on a job by job basis.
Like all sealers scheduled maintained will be required over time.

Topical Surface Sealing available in water based or solvent carriers these Protective Coatings prevent dirt and stains getting into the surface pores and helps maintain the new look and feel of your concrete.
Finishes are available in Gloss or Satin if required. High traffic areas may require hard wearing Polyurethanes or Polyaspartics these premium coatings come at a cost but ensure a long and trouble-free life to the concrete surface. This is why they are mostly used in commercial applications where longevity of the surface is required. These coatings can be Clear or Coloured.
