All concrete and stone coatings and treatments require regular maintenance to maintain their function and integrity. The useful life span of the sealer will be significantly reduced by poor cleaning and maintenance.

Regular visual inspection and spot removal of excess build-up of dirt and grim.

Suggested cleaning process

Wetting surface, using soft broom and a PH neutral cleaner or citric based degreaser (used in accordance with the manufacturers instructions) massage it into the surface, allow to sit for a few minutes, then wash of with fresh water and allow to dry.

Large areas walk behind scrubbers can be used, the scrubber must use a soft bristle, with polyvac scrubbers use white pad, if high pressure washes are needed pressure not to exceed 2000psi and head kept 30 cm from the surface during cleaning process. All process require rinsing with fresh clean water to remove cleaning residue. Excess water to be removed as soon as possible and allowed to dry before reuse.

Cleaning schedules are site specific and depend upon the surface use and it’s exposure to dirt, grim and traffic, consult the applicator, site manager or building maintenance manager for guidance.
